At the end of June 2016 the fieldworks aimed to produce a map of habitat types in Central Anatolia started. During this season of fieldworks (that will finish at the end of September 2016) twenty expert fieldworkers will be deployed. An innovative methodology and an Tablet System for the recording of data has been produced. This methodology and tablet system will allow an accurate inventory of habitat types in Central Anatolia at a low cost, that could be used for the inventory of habitats/ecosystems/vegetation for the rest of Turkey once the project is finished. The fieldworks will provide the necessary data for the selection of Natura 2000 sites in Central Anatolia at the end of the project. The fieldworks will be continued along a second season in 2017.
