11-12 JANUARY 2018, SCP LAYERS WORKSHOP, BOLU

The workshop about SCP layers (under the Task 1.2), was held between 11-12 January 2018 in Bolu.

Within the framework of this workshop following issues were presented: basic concepts on selection of protected areas in SCP and Natura 2000, spatial analysis of threats on species and habitats in the pilot area, gap analysis in the protected areas, opportunities and constraints in selection of Natura 2000 sites in the pilot area, softwares used in the framework of systematic conservation approach,  conservation costs in SCP (case study: Middle East), use of climate change scenarios as a constraint in the selection of Natura 2000, overview of fresh water protection planning in the framework of SCP, and experiences and case studies from different countries; and views and suggestions of participants were received and discussed.
