The Project of "Technical Assistance for Strengthening the National Nature Protection System for the Implementation of Natura 2000 Requirements" officially ended on September 06, 2018. The Closing of this successful implementation process, which lasted 36 months, was held in Bilkent Hotel / Ankara with the participation of more than 200 people.
Launch Events for the Presentation of SCP Methodology produced by the Project (under Task 1.2), and the presentation of Natura 2000 database (under Task 2.3) was organised between 26 - 27 July 2018 in Anadolu Downtown Hotel / Ankara with the participation of more than 150 people.
It has been agreed that 6 legislation workshop will be held to prepare secondary legislation on nature conservation in compliance with EU nature conservation directives within the project. The fifth of the workshops was held on 18-20 April 2018, in Eskişehir.
The training on Tablet system of inventorying of habitat types was held between 11-13 April 2018, in Ramada Hotel, Antalya.
Within the scope of fifth training module, the training on “Financing Biodiversity Conservation and Natura 2000” was held on 22-23 March 2018, in Tasigo Hotel, Eskişehir.
It has been agreed that 6 legislation workshops will be held to prepare secondary legislation on nature conservation in compliance with EU nature conservation directives within the project. The 4th of the workshops was held on 27 February-02 March 2018, in Gazelle Hotel in Bolu, with the participation of Deputy General Director Mr. Etem Boz.
The workshop on “Forest Management and Integration of European Union Habitat Coding” was held between 8-9 February 2018 in Afyon with the participation of the experts from General Directorate of Nature Conservation and Natural Parks, General Directorate of Forestry, General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion and also NATURA 2000 experts.
The third training aimed at increasing capacity of NGOs, universities and institutions for the data to be provided in the desired form and quality in Natura 2000 database, created within the project and existing National Biodiversity database, was held in Ankara between 30 January- 01 February 2018, the first of which was held in Erzurum and the second one was held in İstanbul within the scope of 3.3.

The workshop about SCP layers (under the Task 1.2), was held between 11-12 January 2018 in Bolu.
It has been agreed that 6 legislation workshop will be held for prepare secondary legislation on nature conservation in compliance with EU nature conservation directives under the sub-task 1.6.3. The second of the workshops was held between 12-15 December 2017, in Ramada Hotel in Konya.
The workshop on Threat Analysis was held between 28 November-1 December 2017 in Konya- Ramada Hotel. Results of distribution model of habitat types in the pilot area have been presented and discussed during the workshop.
The fourth module of the training program (sub-task 3.1.4) was held between 14-16 November 2017 in Bolu/Gazelle Hotel. Different aspects of communication and case studies were presented to the Beneficiary by 5 trainers.
Under the task 3.1.3. Gaining EU experience about SCP, EUROPARC 2017 Conference was held between 6-9 September 2017, in Portugal, in the leadership of Division Manager, Mr. Mehmet Gölge, with participation from 4 representatives from the Beneficiary.
It has been carried out a study visit to Croatia on 14-19th of May 2017 in order to learn about the selection and designation process of Natura 2000 network in a new member state.
A two day preparatory meeting for the coming up fieldwork season was held with the fieldworkers in Eskişehir.
A 2-day Seminar has been carried out under Task 1.1 in Bolu, Gazelle Hotel.
